You’ve probably heard this song before. But odds are, you may not have heard my thoughts about it.
SOMEBODY THAT I USED TO KNOW – GOTYE
There are three things I want to say about Gotye.
1. He’s a 31-year-old musician from Belgium. His real name is Wouter. Which is the Belgian version of Walter.
2. Gotye is pronounced like “Gaultier”. But doesn’t it look like it should be pronounced got-ya? I kind of get that he’s spelling it phonetically, but it makes me a little bit uncomfortable.
3. His teeth are causing a bit of a stir. Apparently, that snaggletooth drives the ladies crazy.
In any case, this is a great song, and pretty unusual-sounding. Check it out:
